ANGER Anger is nothing but a reaction to an event based on our perception against our better interest. Some people burst out and angry for a long period and some calm down quickly. Anger is an  Emotion  that can be controlled by mental maturity. Facts about Anger : If we express Anger appropriately, it is a healthy emotion. Anger causes headaches, gastrointestinal disorders, High B.P and Heart problems. Anger aggravates problems and affects interpersonal relationships. If Anger is suppressed, it will lead to frustration Anger Management: To control Anger in a better way you have to; 1. Understand the root cause of your Anger. 2. Recognize your anger pattern or style. 3.You should vent out your Anger in a safe environment. 4. Stress and Anxiety  shall be reduced. 5. Do not dig up old arguments and conflicts. ME AND THE GBS I,D.santhanam, aged 62 years, Retired Electrical Engineer from India, wishes the readers and their family . One fine morning in November, it was raining. I was just waching the water droping from leaves of the tree in front of my house. Tears were rolling down as I was thinking about my only son whom I lost three months back in a car accident at the age of 31. I was depressed. In the evening as usual I have gone for a walk. I found weakness of both lower limbs. After dinner I slept on the floor. The next day morning, around 5.00 AM I was trying to get up from my bed. But, i could not. PERCEPTION Perception is a cognitive experience where the visual, auditory and other senses are consolidated and interpreted.The experience of sensory stimuli and the meaning we attach to them is known as process of Perception.'Gestalt' psychology which arose in the end of nineteenth century has been very effective in in the field of perception. Perception is a process of patterning or organizing the sensory data. This organization is called as " Gestalten " or "wholistic pattern". The perception of objects and events takes place within the frame work of 'space' and 'time'.

PAIN CONTROL TECHNIQUES The following are the newly adopted techniques for pain control in addition to pharmacological surgical and sensory stimulation techniques. They are a) Relaxation technique. b) Biofeed back technique. c) Hypnosis technique. d) Distraction technique. e) Guided imagery technique and f) Other cognitive techniques. RELAXATION TECHNIQUES: As anxiety increases pain, Relaxation techniques are used to reduce the anxiety of the person who experience pain, which in turn reduces the pain.
